QIP Component WebAssembly Engine Benchmark
Run three real QIP content components directly in Wasmex/Wasmtime, pure-Erlang erlang_wasm, and JavaScript in this browser. The CommonMark comparison also includes MDEx's native comrak path.
CommonMark GFM to HTML
The benchmark uses the same Markdown input for each runtime. The QIP GFM CommonMark 0.31.2 component runs with Wasmex/Wasmtime, pure-Erlang erlang_wasm, and JavaScript in this browser. MDEx uses its native comrak implementation. The benchmark measures setup time separately from execution time after warm-up.

Mermaid to Unicode box art
The 32.7 kB QIP Mermaid component runs in the three WebAssembly engines. There is no native MDEx equivalent in this comparison.

Text to Open Graph SVG
The QIP component accepts form-encoded title and subtitle fields. It renders a self-contained 1200 × 630 SVG with embedded Inter glyph paths. A second QIP component rasterizes that SVG to BMP in server Node.js/V8, Wasmex, and erlang_wasm. The raster benchmark uses one warm-up call and excludes Node.js process start time. A pure-Erlang render can take tens of seconds at this image size.
